Marius is the story of life: fathers who run their bar with an iron fist, mothers who raise their daughters alone, sons who dream of elsewhere, daughters who dream of love, and widowers who still dream of love…

Frédéric Achard brings this resolutely Marseillais fresco to life in the finely crafted setting of a small bar in the old port, offering both actors and spectators a modernity of tone and a coming and going of feelings, dear to Pagnol: from laughter to emotion.
