The Edmond Charlot media library in Pézenas is pleased to welcome the exhibition “Synesthesia, the taste of colors” by Michaela Affonso Ferreira Nardone

Opening Wednesday, July 3 at 6:30pm.

The concept of synesthesia, which structures the visual thinking of the works in this exhibition, was built on an empirical recognition of the production processes and effects that wine tasting provokes in humans.

In this way, wine and art exert a comparable effect on those who taste or contemplate, and often express themselves with the same words or adjectives.

In the dedicated spaces of the mediatheque, the artist will present an ensemble of works rich in conceptual development and formal exploration of visual language.
Colorful organic forms and a dreamlike environment are visible elements in Michaela A F.?s paintings.

A graduate in economics from UNICAMP (1979) and in architecture from Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo (2001), she has worked as an architect while devoting herself to her passion, art.
Her various works, created in artist residencies or in her studio, have been exhibited in various Brazilian cities, as well as in Miami, in public and private institutions.

In conjunction with the exhibition, two events will take place on Saturday, July 6:
