Programme

The sound of the harp has not resounded in the monument for many years.
This concert, entitled “Mélodies harpe et voix” (Harp and voice melodies), aims to break this habit through a repertoire from the 19th and 20th centuries.

> By baritone Jean-Michel BALESTER and Doriane CHEMINAIS on harp.

Jean-Michel BALESTER began singing, acting and playing the cello in his native Sète.
A great connoisseur and subtle interpreter of sacred music, he has been Maître de Chapelle at Sète’s churches since 2012. For over fifteen years, he has passionately directed the two vocal ensembles Allegre’Thau and Montacanto.

Doriane CHEMINAIS began playing the Celtic harp at the age of 4. She entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris to perfect her skills as a soloist. At the same time, she plays regularly with the Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne and is passionate about teaching.

In this concert, she will bring to life the works that once nourished the musical ambience of the monument’s archives.
