FÊTE DE LA NATURE : LES FRICHES SONT RICHES !

BESSAN

Programme

In the commune of Bessan (Natura 2000 site) and more particularly on the plateau, also called “les Megéries”, the Biodiversity department of the Agglo organizes in partnership with the City of Besssan, a guided tour in this atypical natural space.
The latter is the “hot spot” for the conservation of the Little Bustard in France and is the subject of a multi-partner agro-ecological program aimed at reclaiming wasteland through the installation of a sheep farmer whom we will meet and who allows to maintain open natural environments favorable to the Little Bustard and many other species of fauna of the agricultural plain.
The first part of the evening will be spent in a room in order to watch a short presentation of the site and its stakes, after which a large part of the evening will be reserved for the discovery of this little-known ecosystem, the species that live there and its actors.
Please bring appropriate footwear (3km walking circuit) and headgear, binoculars and booklets will be lent during the walk.
