EXPOSITION ECHO : NATHALIE SURY – DANN

Nathalie Sury draws her inspiration from human nature: “in every body, in every wrinkle, the story of a life is inscribed”, she likes to say.
From this source of inspiration, the artist has extracted two physiognomies for her creations: One part of her work is inspired by the ethnic groups of Arunachal Pradesh (India), the other by her imagination.
Nathalie Sury?s sculptures take us on an emotional journey.

For Dann, the canvas is a “tabula rasa” allowing her to express her emotions in color, the transcription of reality bending to the filter of emotion just as much as it serves our interpretations.
Here, painting embodies the conquest of an essence, one that brings us together.
