How can we live in harmony? By respecting common laws based on human rights, not particular customs. Freedom of conscience, equal rights, priority of the general interest common to all: the secular solution is clear, simple and fair. It unites people irrespective of their differences, and thus promotes the three dimensions of emancipation: the freedom to choose one?s spiritual conviction, one?s mode of fulfillment, and one?s personal identity, sheltered from the world

+INAUGURATION
The outdoor area of the Cité Scolaire, known as the Parvis de la Secïcité (Secular Square), will be inaugurated at 11:30 a.m. on the day of Mr. Pena Ruiz?s speech to mark the anniversary of the December 9, 1905 law on the separation of Church and State.
+MEETING AT THE HIGH SCHOOL
On Wednesday morning, Henri Peña-Ruiz will talk to students at the Lycée Jean Moulin about the meaning of secularism, followed by a discussion.
