Château La Font des Ormes is a family property of 25 hectares in the commune of Caux in the Hérault. It has a typically Languedoc architecture.
Although the oldest parts of the property date back to the 15th century, most of the buildings date back to the 18th century. Before that, the landscape was quite different, marked by mixed farming and diversity of production: cereals, olive trees, truffle oaks, flower meadows, etc.
Certified organic since 2016 and biodynamic by Demeter since 2018, the estate is located on a lava flow of an ancient volcano and uses the traditional Languedoc grape varieties on the very special terroir of pure basalt.
This property also has two hectares of olive trees.
