In the heart of the Hérault, between the Mediterranean Sea, the Canal du Midi and the Lagoon of Thau, are the Caves Richemer. Since 1934, 200 winegrowers have been perpetuating the tradition of the first port of the Thau Basin – renowned for its white wines that are drunk with oysters, and its terrace rosés – by producing fine and fresh wines marked by the proximity of the sea. The Richemer vineyard covers today a surface of 1000 ha with typical grape varieties such as Terret, Marselan and Piquepoul. Regularly awarded, their wines are in IGP Pays d’Oc or IGP Côtes de Thau.
Passionate, these craftsmen of the earth wish to transmit their know-how and their love of the territory.
“Your Stopover between Land and Sea” is a collection of oenoludic activities combining wines with our land and our merroir: visit of a unique production site in Europe, walks or bike rides, cooking workshop, tasting and treasure hunt. The activities take place on the site of Marseillan.
