ADENA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to nature conservation and public awareness, specializing in Mediterranean coastal wetlands.
Located at the junction of the Thau Basin and the Hérault Valley, it is based in the town of Agde, in the Occitanie region.
The Grand and Petit Bagnas lagoons, owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral, have been a National Nature Reserve since 1983 and a Natura 2000 site since 2010. Birds are the site's main interest, with almost 250 species frequenting the site more or less frequently: herons, stilts, birds of prey, terns, ducks and other migrants... The site can be visited accompanied by a qualified nature educator.
The reserve coordinator will welcome you and introduce you to this natural area. With binoculars in hand, you can observe the natural wealth that surrounds you, all year round.
Program available on request.
