Since its creation in 1938, the cooperative cellar of Bessan has focused on the vinification of rosé wines. It is indeed in this typically Languedoc village that these wines appeared for the first time in the 19th century, elaborated under the name of “rosé” due to their lightly coloured colour following the fermentation of red grape must.

Today, 115 winegrowers, cultivating 400 hectares of vines, the Bessan cellar, with its know-how and reputation, continues this production while diversifying into the production of varietal wines.
