This geological curiosity is the result of the cooling of a lava flow during an eruption of the Monts Ramus volcanoes some 650,000 years ago. The Tourist Office strongly recommends that you go for a walk to admire the impressive 360° panorama of the Espinouse mountains, the Larzac foothills, Mont Ramus and all the surrounding villages.
