ATTENTION (July 2025 information): following a fire south of Castelnau-de-Guers, it is possible that the signposting may be damaged between the Via Domitia and Castelnau-de-Guers. Rely on the GPS track.
The last stage of the GTMC's Larzac to Mediterranean crossing: the end of the itinerary is full of surprises.
The first part is fun and aesthetic between Montagnac and Castelnau-de-Guers, around Bessilles: beautiful paths between pine forests and vineyards, views over the Etang de Thau and the sea, statues from the Terroir d'Art et de Nature de Montagnac...
The itinerary then gently winds its way along vineyard paths, small roads and cycle paths, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the vineyards, the town of Agde and the Canal du Midi... before reaching the sea on the only volcanic coastline in the Languedoc region.
