On the first plots of land on the estate, there is a magnificent noria, almost intact, from which the name “Villa Noria” is derived.
A noria, a beautiful word of Arabic origin, is a hydraulic mechanism used to extract the water essential to life. The noria, driven by the current of the watercourses, is also used to bring up water from the wells and irrigate the plantations.
