The Domaine de Valensac is a family estate, which belongs to the Mention family. Having activities in the North of France, the management of the Domaine is entrusted to Edwige Thuillé, a dynamic and enterprising young woman.
This 49-hectare property is located just ten kilometres from the Mediterranean, in the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon. It benefits from the maritime influence and cool soils, ideal conditions for the production of well-balanced white wines.
Domaine de Valensac cultivates grape varieties that are fairly classic for this region, Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay (of which nearly 22 hectares) but also grape varieties that are much more unlikely in the Languedoc such as Petit Manseng, Riesling or Petit Verdot, which give the Domaine a real originality.
Quite classic grape varieties for an estate on the Hérault plain, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah, Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, but also more original varieties such as Petit Manseng.
