The vineyard of the Domaine covers an area of 35 ha, extending in one piece around the monastery established in 1328 by the Dominican Fathers. The upper part of the vineyard forms a plateau classified as AOC Languedoc with an area of about 20 ha. This terroir allows the elaboration of fine red wines where spicy aromas predominate.

2000 years of wine tradition began in Mougères around a Gallo-Roman villa that already had vines. A sanctuary in the Middle Ages, the Dominicans built their first monastery there in the 14th century
In 1825 the Carthusian monks inherited the property, restored the buildings and reworked the vines with talent and generosity.
In 2006 they entrusted the vineyards to Nicolas de Saint-Exupéry, who comes from a family of five generations of winegrowers in the Languedoc
Encouraged by the quality of the work done at Mougères, the Carthusian monks sold the estate to Gersende and Nicolas de Saint-Exupéry in 2014, their know-how, their love of working the land, and their wine heritage.
Muscat petits grains, Maccabeo, Vermentino but also Carignan, Syrah and Grenache: it is a whole range of quality grapes that allow the rebirth of one of the most beautiful domains of the region by the elaboration of a wide range of authentic wines.
