Founded in 1935 by the Escolo dau sarret, the Agatha museum is a subtle balance between modern presentation and reconstructions of 19th-century bourgeois interior scenes.
After renewing its first floor scenography in 2023, and on the eve of future renovation work throughout the establishment, the Direction des Musées et du Patrimoine is offering the public the chance to celebrate its near centenary with two highlights:
> “Photos de famille, histoire de vi(ll)e” participatory exhibition
From September 20, 2025 to June 28, 2026
10am>9pm
To mark its 90th anniversary, the Musée Agathois Jules Baudou has launched a collection of all types of images taken within the family (photographs, albums, films, slides), on paper or digital media, and linked to an identifiable place in the town of Agde (building, monument, family home, business, natural site, locality…).
These images can illustrate a professional or leisure activity, testify to a traditional practice, immortalize a traditional celebration, immortalize a collective or family event or a moment of daily life.
Your family treasures, witnesses to the history of our beautiful city and its inhabitants, will be presented and honored at this exhibition.
