‘The Water Engineer’

This exhibition celebrates the innovative hydraulic engineering features found at the historic site of Château Laurens, nestled between the green waters of the Canal du Midi and the River Hérault.

Programme

This walking tour takes visitors on a journey through the world of engineering, from the round lock, the small canal and the hydroelectric turbine that supplied the building’s bathrooms, central heating and ornamental ponds, to the total art dedicated to the theme of water, which unfolds in all its splendour within the Art Nouveau motifs of the château and its iconic bathroom.
