Programme
Georges Feydeau, the famous vaudeville writer, ended up mad. A victim of his own demons, his lecherous characters, and his dramatic machinery with its haunting rhythm.
We are in the heart of Room 21, where Feydeau was committed to a sanatorium.
The privileged spectator is invited to share the final moments of his life, the final moments of madness in which all the characters from his repertoire will gesticulate around him: the lecherous soldier with his laughable accent, the mischievous wife, the emancipated daughter, the daring servants, the mad doctor…
In a very modern ‘augmented’ reality, in this parody, Georges Feydeau finally takes the ‘leading role’ in the play.
Costumes, tension, dramatic twists, theatrical mechanics – the spirit is zany and everything moves at breakneck speed. It’s explosive! Chambre 21 is more than just a vaudeville; it borders on a wild cabaret. Pure madness!!!
Authors: Thierry Barbeau and Pierre Berriau
Director: François Escobar
Cast: Anaëlle Bouts, Thierry Blazy, Jean Brunel, Nathalie Calmes, Karine Choro, Émilie Quercia and Olivier de Maurepas
