In the heart of the Hérault region, between the Mediterranean Sea, the Canal du Midi and the Thau Lagoon, lie the Caves Richemer.
Since 1934, 200 winegrowers have been upholding the tradition of the Thau Basin’s leading wine-producing region – renowned for its white wines, perfect for enjoying with oysters, and its rosés for sipping on the terrace – by crafting fine, fresh wines influenced by the proximity of the sea.
The Richemer vineyard now covers an area of 1,000 hectares, planted with typical grape varieties including Terret, Marselan and Piquepoul. Regularly award-winning, their wines carry the IGP Pays d’Oc or IGP Côtes de Thau designations.
