The Grande Maïre Natura 2000 site (part of the European network of protected natural sites) stretches from the Canal du Midi to the sea. This site offers an environment reminiscent of the Camargue, thanks to the presence of horses and bulls reared at the Grand Salan ranch.
> Three discovery trails (2.5 km, 9 km and 11 km) allow you to explore this vast, peaceful and wild wetland on foot or by bike. A visitor’s guide is available from the Tourist Office.
> Every Wednesday in summer from 6 pm, a coastal ranger will guide you along the trails to discover the exceptional biodiversity of the Grande Maïre. Booking is essential online or at the Tourist Information Offices.
